MCGB dessert chef 2023 competition now open

David Lyell Scholarship 2023

The competition is open to any chefs or students who are working or studying with an MCGB member. A little reward for your team to celebrate your continued support and membership of the MCGB.

The first stage will be online entries before a live final in October at Loughborough College. Thanks to Darren Creed and the team at Loughborough for hosting us.

The finalists will also receive some financial support for attending the final.

So if you are a college lecturer with a really promising pastry student, a chef patron looking to develop the skills of your team, or a contract caterer wanting to show how great food can be in your sector, we really welcome your entries.

Some fantastic prizes are on offer for the winners – including an incredible trip to Felchlin Chocolate in Switzerland, courtesy of our partners at Town & Country Fine Foods.
